- Ace Your WACE 1.0 on Sunday 31st May 2020
Preparing for a WACE performance exam? In this FREE fun hands-on workshop, WAAPA’s lecturers will work with you to share advice and strategies about performance psychology, presentation, projection, rhythm skills, breathing, phrasing and musicianship. Tame your nerves and learn how to play at your very best so that when the day comes, your inner star shines through!
- Ace Your WACE 2.0 on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th July 2020
Turbocharge your WACE performance exam or tertiary music audition by boosting your confidence, presentation, projection and performance skills. You’ll perform one of your exam/audition pieces in a workshop setting, and WAAPA’s outstanding Classical Music lecturers will give you advice and strategies for releasing your inner virtuoso and achieving your very best.

WACE performance exam coming up? Want to practise performing in front of WAAPA’s classical lecturers, and learn how to bring your music to life and perform at your very best in your exam? You’ll present one of your WACE works in a Concert Practice setting at WAAPA, and get tips on how to tame your nerves, polish your performance and maximise your results!
Students in Years 11 & 12 are invited to join UWA’s Free Online ATAR Music Bootcamp, where they can find resources and activities to help them excel in their ATAR exams.
The Bootcamp includes short video clips addressing various parts of the ATAR syllabus, including recognising and writing intervals, cadences, modes, tips on transposing, identifying textures plus we explore the development of the Concerto and the Symphony.
Happening in June (prior to Term 2 exams), ‘Virtual’ Masterclasses will give students the opportunity to perform and receive personalised practical feedback from one of UWA’s expert performance staff.
