Jane Darcey is a qualified and experienced Classical Guitar teacher, offering lessons to students from the age of four up to Tertiary entrance level, including preparation for AMEB examinations, from her studio in Forrestfield.

Jane is an eclectic classical guitarist. Her performance and teaching related studies have included a performance degree in music from UWA (1981), membership of the Australian Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (1988) and Primary Accreditation in the Suzuki Method of teaching (2006).

She combines teaching, performing, composing and directing guitar ensembles.

Jane Darcey has produced three CDs, two of which include original works.

In search of new ways to touch the heart and soul through music, Jane Darcey has become entranced by the music of guitarist and composer Gilbert Biberian, which combines multicultural roots with originality and intensity, using a unique and ever developing version of extended tonality. Her studies with Biberian have included guitar technique, performance practice and composition.

Jane is the Director of the Western Australian Classical Guitar Society Orchestra, and is an Accredited Teaching Member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association.
