B.Mus (Orch Studies)(UCT), Grad Dip Ed (Secondary)(Monash), Kodaly Teacher Training  (Primary), CERT IV in Training + Assessment (CHISHOLM)

 

Holding a BMus (Orch. Studies), a Grad.Dip. Ed (Secondary) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, I am a Fully Accredited WAMTA member. I have taught both instrumental music and classroom music to children as young as 3 years old and instrumental music to adults as old as 72 in Townsville, Melbourne and Perth. I have also played in many orchestras both in South Africa, Namibia and Australia, including Melbourne Opera and the Western Australian Charity Orchestra (WACO). I believe that music is best learned in a relaxed and friendly environment. I like to utilise games to ensure that my lessons are always fun and creative. It is my philosophy that students need to be exposed to all styles of music and given a solid technical and theoretical foundation so that they may become independent learners.
