Student Forums are performance practice opportunities. Students are expected to dress appropriately for performance. In particular, older students are role models for younger students. As such, beach style attire such as shorts, thongs and torn jeans are not considered appropriate performance attire.
All students are given a program and are encouraged to announce their own name, title of piece and name of composer, and are expected to acknowledge the audience at the end of their performance by bowing.
Please be aware of laws relating to the use of copyright music. Photocopies of currently published works are not permitted under copyright laws.

Cost & Tickets
* The event is Free for WAMTA Financial Members, participating students and accompanists, and children.
* The entry cost is $5 per adult for all other attendees.
All students should be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Teachers must be present to support their students.
ALL attendees are asked to please register / purchase their tickets online in advance. This help us keep track of numbers while covid restrictions are in place (we are limited to 132 people) and helps minimise dealing with cash on the day, which will help us get the performances underway faster. Teachers are asked to please forward the link to purchase tickets (https://www.trybooking.com/BOZIY) to the families of students performing, and any accompanists who will also be attending.
Students and audience members should remain for the whole program so that those at the end actually have an audience to hear their performance too.
Applying:
The online entry form opens 2 weeks before the next Student forum. WAMTA Members will be sent an email advising when entries are open.
Teachers can return to their submitted entries and adjust them as necessary, e.g. if the piece being performed changes, prior to entries closing.
Entries will remain open until the Wednesday preceeding the concertn, or when we receive enough performances to fill an hour-long concert, whichever comes first. If we receive enough entries before the closing date to close off entries early, we will notify WAMTA Teachers. Otherwise, we we will send a reminder as the closing date approaches that we are still accepting submissions.
Higher grade students are asked to select a single movement of a larger work, to allow time for other students to perform as well.
Entries will be finalised on the Thursday preceding the concert, to allow sufficient time to organise the programs. Changes after this time cannot be accepted.
We look forward to meeting many of you and your students over the next year!
